Since the 2nd was a Saturday, we decided to celebrate our anniversary on Friday evening to avoid staying out too late and being late for church on Sunday. We decided to go to dinner at The Melting Pot. For those who don't know, the Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant. Amy and I love fondue, so ever since Amy found out about the restaurant, she's wanted to go. I've wanted to go also, but had heard it was kind of expensive. We decided that we could afford one nice dinner a year and made reservations. We stayed downtown in a hotel Friday night to make the whole experience a little more formal.

Fondue is seriously the most fun eating experience EVER! There's just something about dipping food in sauce or cooking meat in oil that gives the whole experience a creative feel. It's like you're creating your own food concoctions. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Enjoying the cheese fondue appetizer. Boy, that was really cheesy... and there was a lot of cheese on that bite too.

Amy also enjoying the cheese fondue.
The main entree. A wide selection of raw meat and vegetables. (Amy was thoroughly grossed out by the raw meat) Behind, a myriad of sauces and batters to aid in the fondue creation process.
This is our experiment to see the difference between a raw shrimp and a cooked shrimp...
Taking advantage of our waitress as she brought the dessert fondue, we asked her to snap a picture of us together.
Yin Yang chocolate fondue: Where the white chocolate and the milk chocolate meet together without prejudice in perfect chocolate nirvana.
Oh, and Punxsutawney Phil did see his shadow... 6 more weeks of winter...
