2 and a half months...almost 3!

Ahhhhh!! Addi is almost 3 months and I never posted about her at 2 months! I've got some catching up to do! WARNING: This post is kinda long with lots of pictures. Her 2 monthish stats, etc. are after this first set of pictures.

Well we actually left on vacation the day she was 2 months and I forgot to get a picture of her in her crib before we left (I want to do a picture every month in the same place, next to the same object - her giraffe - to see how she has grown)...so her blessing pictures will have to be her two month pictures. Yes we blessed our sweet Addilyn in Utah while on vacation. The main reason we had her blessed in Utah was so our family could be there. My family was all getting together for a reunion and Zach's family was able to be there too so it was perfect! Zach did a BEAUTIFUL job and it was a very special blessing. We were so THRILLED that Julie (who did Alexis' pictures) could be there too and she was SO KIND to take pictures afterward for us....these photos are some of the ones she took....

Isn't she just the most adorable thing you have ever seen?! That smile! She is such a joy.

Full view of her pretty dress

After the blessing everyone stopped at Alexis' grave at my request. It was really special to me to have so many of our family there. My brothers and most brothers in law had never been there and only two of my nieces and nephews. So it was really cool to have most of my immediate family (all but Todd) and some extended congregate at Alexis' grave and visit her. We also of course wanted Addi to visit and see where her sister is buried and feel of the special spirit that is there. We still miss our Lexi every day and tell Addi she has a big sister often. I'm sure she knows better than we do about her and may even be able to see her when she comes to visit us.

The whole gang!

Sisters...just priceless.

After we visited Lexi Zach's aunt and uncle graciously had us all over for a yummy luncheon. The picture above is Zach's side of the family.

I love this one! So sweet and happy.

lol..this picture is awesome...Ethan and Addi...the two living grandbabies on Zach's side

Julie and I! Julie seriously is an angel on earth, I feel honored to know her.

All of my siblings were there! How cool is that?! Not an easy task when there is 7 of us living in 5 different states. I wish it could happen more often! Heaven will be where Zach's and my families are together forever, never to be parted.

Us with my parents..they sure love their grandbaby!

Four generations...seriously priceless. Words don't do it justice.

Amy squared! :) I was sooo happy my friend Amy (no I'm not confused, her name is Amy too) came up to see us! Her baby is a doll and it was so great to see her. She and I were roommates our Freshman year and half of our Sophomore year. We went through some really tough times together and I know we were meant to be friends forever!

This picture cracks me up! She sure has us wrapped around her finger!

Since we were on vacation when Addi turned 2 months she didn't actually have her 2 month doctors appointment until we got back so these stats are her at about 2 and half months...

Weight: 10lbs 7 oz - 18% She is are tiny little peanut! :)
Height: 23 1/4 in. - 58% She is long and slim.

What she is up to...
  • Addi is smiling up a storm...as long as she is fed and awake she will give you the biggest, cutest smile!
  • She is also "talking"/cooing a lot more, telling us all kinds of "stories"
  • She LOVES to stand, her legs are super strong and she loves to stand on our legs with us lifting her up.
  • She hates to sleep flat on her back, most of the time she used to sleep in her bouncer but we are trying to teach her to sleep in her crib. Lets just say we are tired. :) She would much rather be held.
  • She eats probably about 2-3 oz. a feeding and is nursing really well, eating about every 3 hours
  • She takes a bottle really well too and doesn't seem to mind breastmilk vs. formula...I only give her formula maybe once a week, just so she is exposed to it in case of an emergency where I'm not around to feed her, so 99% of the time she has breastmilk
  • She loves her binky! When she is sleepy we swaddle her and give her her binky and she will fall asleep pretty quickly. She also has found her hand and loves to suck on it pretty loudly I might add. Its cute.
  • Addi is a wiggle worm! Its a good thing we swaddle her because she would wake herself up so fast if we didn't, she just likes to move. Sometimes we'll go in to get her and she'll have her little hand up by her face or she'll have kicked out the bottom of the swaddle. Its hilarious!
  • She loves bath time...doesn't cry at all except for when we get her out of the water and shes cold.
  • She is such a curious little one...always looking around with those big beautiful eyes. She loves to look up...seriously, she is always looking up to the sky...makes me wonder if she is seeing angels up there. She loves to look at lights too.
  • She is starting to be interested a little in toys...not really reaching for them yet but she likes to be under her little play gym and look around.
  • Addi doesn't like her car seat unless she is moving. She'll even start fussing when we stop at a red light or something!
  • She really likes her swing and will sleep for a long time in it.
She really is a very happy, sweet baby! I'm hoping she will learn to sleep better as she gets older. I really don't want to do the cry it out method because I know she is stubborn and will cry for a long time...I've let her cry for little bits to see if she would go back to sleep and 9 times out of 10 she doesn't. We'll just have to see I guess.

Here are some more pictures from the last month or so...

Chillin' in the bathtub

Found her like this after a nap...lol...kicked the bottom out of her swaddle!

Driving to Utah! 10 hours...we split it up and stayed in Boise so 5 hours one leg, 5 hours next. Addi did really really well.

We stayed with Zach's mom the first night. Addi loved seeing Grammy!

Look at those eyes!! This is at the pool at the resort we stayed at for my family's reunion.

Our little family...whose that hottie guy on the left?! :)

Addi didn't like the water...too cold. :)

Gracing us with a smile....

and being silly!

Hahahahahaha! I laugh every time I see this picture!
We call this one: "I am baby, hear me ROAR!" :)

Four generations on my dad's side! It was such a privilege for Addi to meet both her Great Grandmas! We had a wonderful birthday party for my dad's mom while we were in town. I love both my grandmas sooo much, they are such amazing women and examples of GREAT faith!

Zach on the zip line in Park City...I got stuck behind some slow kids. :( But it was still fun. :)

Nich and Halley couldn't be there for Addi's blessing so they all came up to Park City a couple days later to hang out and take a family pic. So fun!

After our week in Utah Zach had to go back to work but I drove with my sister home to California for a week. It could possibly be my last time home since my parents are in the process of selling the house I lived in all my life until college!! Sad sad sad day.

We took the traditional Sunday stroll....stopped at friend's houses and reminisced. I feel very blessed to have grown up where I did.

We lounged by the pool.

Addi hung out with her cousins.

And was spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa! Oh how we miss them!

Took a picture outside the house just in case it was our last time there before its sold.

We had a bbq at my brothers one night and they had this perfect tube for Addi...she fit perfectly nestled in the middle there! I love how this picture brings out the blue in her eyes. She loved it in the warm jacuzzi (of course we made sure it wasn't too warm)...shortly after this picture the little stinker pooped all over in the pool! Thats what chlorine is for...sorry Kevin! :)

Addi's first plane ride! She slept pretty much the whole way.

We had such a fun trip but we missed Zach and we were glad to be back with him. Even after just a week Zach said Addi looked bigger! Shes a growing machine! Our vacation went by way too fast and I miss my family terribly. I wish we could teleport. :) Anyone up to a trip our way?!

Back at home chillin. Look at those really BIG eyes! :)

So glad to see Daddy again, just chillin with watchin' TV!

And just because you can NEVER get too many pictures of our sweet Addi here are a few more...

Growing!

Miss Addi is growing! When we are here with her every day its hard to tell if she is getting bigger cuz its so gradual but this picture shows that she definetly is!

Same outfit...different days (and yes I added that ribbon flower to cover up the somewhat cheesy embroidery on front...I'm weird like that) You can see how the pants are shorter and tighter around her belly in the picture on the right. And yesterday we confirmed it...our princess is now 7 lbs. 14 oz!! I'm not sure how I feel about her getting bigger....time just goes by so fast!

Celebration

Sunday was Addi's first holiday, the 4th of July. The 4th has always been an exciting holiday. Its right in the height of summer, you've got fireworks, BBQs. This was also our first 4th of July in Lewiston. We quickly found out the place to be was Adam's Field for the annual Community Spirit Fireworks show. I was assigned to cover the fireworks show for the news, so it worked out perfectly!

All three of us waiting for the fireworks. We had a busy day with church, an amazing BBQ with some friends of ours and then straight to the field.

Addi in her patriotic dress and of course home made bow.

Addi with Grandpa Joe, who came to visit us over the weekend. (Notice she is wearing a different bow. She spit up all over her dress, so we changed her into the spare outfit, and of course mommy had packed a matching home made bow. I mean really, what outfit is complete without a bow?)

Addi in her patriotic shirt from Grammy!

One month old! I love this picture. I picked out that giraffe for her. She doesn't quite know what to think about it all.

"Mommy... can we take a break from pictures?"
